We were so pleased to hear from Barney and Russell recently, self-build clients for whom we supplied the structural shell late last year. They sent over some completion shots of the extension to their house in Oxfordshire, and it looks like a lovely space. Barney told us:
“We did this project as a test to see if we could do a semi self-build as a couple with no building experience but want to build our own house at some point in the distant future.
We got Bentleys to put the SIPs up before Christmas, and then have spent the last 6 months doing most of the internal and external stuff ourselves over weekends etc. (plus some specialist contacts for the finished bits that people see!)
The SIP construction makes it so easy to work with and we’ve really enjoyed the project outside of our day jobs!”
We think they’ve done a great job and hope they take some time to relax and enjoy it before embarking on the next project 😊
