SIPs are a great option when constructing unusual shaped buildings or complex roofs. Because we create a 3D computer model and use finite element analysis to check the strength of the SIPS structure, we are able to find the most elegant solution – optimising available space and minimising additional beams. Also with panels being precision-cut to CAD designs; the pieces arrive in ‘kit form’ and go together perfectly on site.
Building with SIPS is compatible with other forms of construction; creative, individual and flexible building designs are achieved such as:-
- Extensions to existing properties
- Re-roofing to create ‘room in roof’ spaces
- Combining SIPs and concrete frame
A wide variety of external finishes can be applied to SIPS, from cladding, brick slips, render, tiles or a traditional solid brick outer wall.
